No after effects were used to enhance the video in a cinematographic way, only in-game effects, except for slight use of colour and shake filters.

The video was made in basically 1 week after access was granted to the game, same basic gameplay as IL-2 and easy to learn and use.

Shadows were turned down.

Sometimes vulnerability was off, realistic gunnery off, etc. just to make it easier to capture the desired situation.

Slow motion was obtained by recording at very slow game speeds, much slower than IL-2 1946.

The movie was made in full HD mode at 25fps :)

Kindly note that the game made available to me was still a BETA version and it would be undesirable for me to comment on any technical or gameplay matters :)

The only comment I am prepared to make is that this game will totally surprise everyone. :)

Thanks for the information, it explains everything in a very satisfactory way. Also thanks for making this awesome movie for the developers and the community.

Finally, your last comment is making me all the more impatient to try it out ;)

Just had to say thanks Oleg (and crew) for your dedication and efforts.

I have been patiently waiting for this title for years (having bought all your IL2 products); the Battle of Britain is my favourite conflict of all time.

I must say your teaser videos just keep getting better and better, and the detail and excitement of the combat in tonights offering is just breathtaking!

I am enjoying the tantalising experience of waiting during this last final period, because (being middle-aged) I don't think I will ever see another Battle of Britain simulator that will come anywhere near the high mark that CoD is scoring!

Thanks again, you've made one virtual flyer very happy  (yes, I have pre-ordered the collectors edition)

Regards,
BobTuck.

Yes but the Gladiator cutting the tail of that Br20 really confused me: according to the power of these 0.303s (again: "realistic gunnery OFF" right?) if you make the 20mm more powerful you would need 2 hits to obliterate a Blenheim..

It's axis plane. It can't be damaged!! It' can't! IMBOSSIBLE! Internet said so!

It's looking great so far. Thanks for this update. A few things i noticed or came to my mind. It could be because of graphics settings but i saw a lot of repetition in the sea surface (texture tiling). Maybe also because of the settings there was this tail that came off from the plane, without some kind of heavy explosion would this realy happen? I haven't seen any real footage of this (yet) :) Lastly, bullet impact on the planes looks so real, but with small debry coming off it would be perfect, not just the big parts. Some kind of FX system could add a lot here.

Amazing.

Thank you Oleg.

Must confess I found it emotionally moving both visually and aurally. My compliments to the musicians.

Cool! It's those little things combined with the big ones (FM, DM etc) that I think will put this title in a league of it's own.

Do you know of the damage model of the trains as I recon you're the artist behind them?

I can't believe we might be installing this within a week! I won't believe it even when I'm flying my moth under the london bridge!!1one Can't stop watching the videos.. 8)
