http://s6.postimage.org/eqq6q5loh/EB_G_4.jpg http://s6.postimage.org/qek8kpatd/EB_G_3.jpg Flight Lieutenant Eric Lock. Lock, originally from Shrewsbury, is credited with 26½ victories, nearly all of them achieved flying Spitfires in the Battle of Britain with 41 Squadron. Spitfire N3162, EB-G was Lock's aircraft on September 5, 1940 when he shot down four German aircraft and was himself wounded. Eric Lock went on to become the RAF’s most successful pilot of the Battle of Britain. Modern research shows that he achieved 21 kills during the period of the Battle, although at the time he was officially credited with only 16½ confirmed kills. http://s6.postimage.org/oixg9jlz5/Sp...41_Sqn_194.jpg |

310 Sqn (Czech) Hurricane MkI P3143 NN-D
Robo asked if I could do some Czech Hurricanes so here's the first.
P3143 NN-D 310 Sqn, flown in the Battle of Britain by various pilots but believed to have had a high kill count. http://s6.postimage.org/tushbw1dt/NN_D_1.jpg http://s6.postimage.org/7k4mbx43l/NN_D_2.jpg http://s6.postimage.org/5d0dnzytd/Hu..._D_310_Sqn.jpg (I have used a weather layer from another template, but for the life of me I cannot find the original to credit the author, please contact me and I will ammend) I will also do some 'blanks' with just any artwork so they can be used with in-game markings. I have ordered the book 'Czech's in the RAF', so I will add more after that arrives |
Lovely Chris!! Hoped to get a hurri skin as its my ride of choice right now, did 19 have any hurricanes pre the spit?
When you about for a fly again mate? |
Cheers Matt,
I don't think '19' ever flew Hurri's, but there is always room for 'License', if you get my meaning..... |
I see the subtle art of weathering is on it's marry way back in again! This pleases me to no end!

Hi Kristorf,
Stunning work. I see on http://spitfireforums.com/index.php?topic=268.0 a debate over A or B scheme for EB.Q What did you manage to find to work to ? I am also intrigued by the sky codes as opposed to the Medium Sea grey normally used. Also EB.Q was a Mk1a and your screen shots shows a Mk2 indicated by the rounded bulbous spinner and Rotol blades though it lacks the coffman cartridge starter 'lump' on the stbd cowling side. Can we download and run these schemes with our own weathering choice ? I havent got the sim yet as my PC is WinXP so wont run DirectX10 which the developers opted for and its only 2 yrs old and cost me a fortune so excuse my ignorance. BOBC |

I have pic's someplace with codes, but as to were they are at the moment I don't know. As to the spinner, its what the game puts on it so I have no control over it unfortunatally. Again, as to the weathering its an on going bug bear, the game engine gives the Spitfire 'full' weathering regardless of the slider position, we have asked for it to be changed to user defined, but as its not a tank I doubt it will change. |
