So everything on max even SSAO turned on i got smooth flying even down low! Only Problem is some stutter over buildings! Average FPS 49!

But AI commands still dont work properly! Ai changes formation when commanded to do so but does not attac when ordered! And no Voice only written response! !

Big improvement for me with GTX260 - game now much smoother at low levels over land.

Tried the patch to see the fixed G50. Quick mission against hurricanes made me realize how broken the AI is and that Single player is still pretty much unplayable due to AI godly physics and FM defying 1337 flying skillz. Cannot believe that i actually paid for this. See ya at the next patch and do not expect me to buy Battle of Moscow or anything else you may be planing before if this s**t is not fixed.

Super quick test, free flight over London:
Looking down in cockpit at the city
Before Patch= 24 FPS
After Patch = 35 FPS
I fly with clouds off anyway, so it seems an improvement, on my machine at least.

Hm. Interesting. My fps stay at a rock steady 30fps no matter what. Even attacking bombers over London with everything maxed out - even land shading on original. I think the increase is there but something on my system or in the game has put a ceiling on it. It makes the game run very smoothly to be sure and I am not a high fps freak anyway. Definately no cloud shadow though.

Are you using nVidia Adaptive VSync (half refresh rate) by any chance?

Have you tried the modified AI in quick missions yet? It makes the AI a lot more realistic and you won't need to worry about the impossible maneuvering.

Guys I haven't been able to try it yet but one thing I notice is that many posters don't give their specs: Hardware including native resolution, OS, DX version, GPU manager settings and game settings. Thats really important if devs are going to assess and understand any problems.

Suggest you go back and edit your posts and add any missing specs.

Just saying its great or its naff doesn't mean anything unless you say what you are trying to run.

Thanks 1C for giving us something to spend the time, the discussions on the forum were getting a bit of nonsence... :)

Nice weekend (what is left of it)

HTA,

checked with a track i made before the last patch.
I did first one run with the original game:

Avg./Max./Min. 26/42/9

Then i applied the patch and did several runs (cleared cache before):
1. 36/57/23
2. 32/52/17
3. 31/53/19
4. 31/54/20
5. 31/53/17
6. 31/54/19

So definitely faster and on my system it seemed smoother as well.
Interestingly the first run with a cleared cache folder was the fastest ....

k2600/ stock speed
8GB Ram
ATI 6950/2GB
Win 7/64
