Trim??

Cannot get any Aileron Trim to work on either the Spitfire or Hurricane. (all that I've tried yet.) Elevator and rudder trim work as advertised.

Oh and I see no difference in frame rate or visually with the Anit Epilepsy filter on or off!! Looks exactly the same.

That is because neither aircraft has aileron trim.

If changes in the Video section are made which require a restart of the game, the game crashes to desktop and a standard Microsoft Windows Bug Report window shows up which says that launcher.exe did crash.

Not sure if its been mentioned, But on playing back tracks or on outside views on Enemy bombers, I get no engine sound, Guns sound fine, as do the fighters as they pass and fire, Just the engines on the Enemy aircraft you are watching are silent.

Also Black lines on the sea, Possible meshing issue.

I know I dont have the latest drivers, sadly these caused major issues with DCS A10, so had to revert back to old ones which work with both sims.

AMD X4 965 3.4GHZ, 4GB DDR3 Ram, 3TB Hard Disk, ATI 5850 1TB Graphics ( 8.782.0.0 drivers ), 2 x LG 23" Widescreen HD Monitors, ButtkickerTM Warthog Hotas, Saitek Pedals, Track IR And a bloody awful Pilot

Spec: Windows 7 64bit / 4Gig DDR3 @ 1333mhz / 2 x ATI 5770 / Core i5 @ 3.6 gig o/c

Issues:

Awful stuttering, texture pop-in and appalling framerate of 5-15 on low/medium settings, worse on higher. Completely unplayable over land, barely playable over sea on any resolution. Total slideshow on anything higher than 1200 x 800. I'm well within the recommended specs and I literally cannot play the game at a decent resolution. All of this is with a single GPU, though of course crossfire makes no difference at this point.

If I alter the conf.ini to the following from stock:

DrawIfNotFocused=1
&
Render=D3D9

I can run the DX9 version at 1900x1200 with far less stuttering (barely noticeable over fields, heavy over london) and around 20 fps, which was *almost* playable if over fields/sea - but it looks horrible.

Not sure what's going on, but something is horribly wrong with this product.

I look at il2COD and remember when il2 first came out (many moons ago) and i couldn't fly over leningrad cos my PC (FPS) just wasn't up to the task and would die.

My specs are now. Vista HP (6.0 build 6002) DIRECT X 11 Chip: E8400 M-Board: Gigabyte X48t-DQ6 RAM:4gb DDR3 Card: Palit GTX 460 SE - Drivers 8.17.12.6658

I run at moderate graphics (medium) with no AntiAl. It flies good and the visuals are good at this level.

Bugs i found so far.
Doesnt recognise joystick - preset as two different sticks. (set this manually and it worked ok)
Does not remember your settings - you can save them but have to keep reloading your settings. If i get into new aircraft the settings are not retained and i have to reload them.
Throttle wont stay on full but goes back to half after a while ( i have comp. eng. settings off - it maybe my throttle setting>>on stick>> as i have axis and button settings for this function?)
Get small pixel marks ( as described by others) on screen.

London is just a no-go zone at moderate settings ( not playable - dont have any FPS settings for you yet)
buffeting ( this is only slight - i think its not neccessarily a bug but may be wind ( weather effect ) that players are not use too.I haven't tested this thoroughly yet.

Over all this game has fantastic potential, thankyou 1c i think this engine will keep us flying well into the future.

Are you using the latest Catalyst drivers (11.3)? Using a very similar card and no issues here.

Raggz 04-01-2011 12:48 AM

Cockpit Padlock don't work properly. It locks on both enemy's and friendly planes.
