Default something ive never understood

this goes for all games
y after a game is completed do they wait till it is put on sale?

You mean completed as in printed and ready for distribution? Beats me as well as those so-called 'retail leaks' like the recent Halo ODST one.

yes i do i mean we all know bop could go on sale now so y do we have to wait??

brand positioning, advertising, calendar timing like holidays (be it Europe or US) (Battle of Britain Anniversary?), marketing spread to avoid game clutter, run up to christmas (sequels agogo!)

but most all everyones sh!t scared of MW2 creaming everyones sales to buggery...its a sluggish economy so there will be ALOT of jockying for position. THEY WANT YOUR MONEY!

best thing we can all do is spread the word...

Not sure myself, but i'm sure they have an agreement with distributors etc and would be a lot of hassle/expensive to change the release date?
