Steam and COD

The tittle says all....For an hour now i cant play because steam servers are too busy to handle my request......I DONT want to play online............any offline option?
The game is useless if you cant play when you want.....Steam control when i will play...

i think there is an option in steam under file to go offline, try it.

click on steam menu then click on offline.
