Default 110C7 vs 110C4

This needs more research as this is a quick comparison and gut feeling after roughly 95 hours of online play.

The 110C7 and 110C4 in game seem to be the EXACT same in regards to performance, weight, and all manner of flight characteristics. This is odd as the 110C7 is supposed to have the DB601P @ 1175PS or 1159HP sea level versus the DB601B-1 @ 1100PS or 1085HP sea level an increase of 74HP per engine than the 110C4. I don't have the numbers handy but looks like the DB601P got stronger with altitude versus the DB601B-1 leading up to an almost 250HP difference per motor at certain altitudes.

Now also the 110C4 and 110C7 weigh EXACTLY the same when you remove the bombs from the loadout of the 110C7 even though the 110C7 still has the built in bombrack. Looks to me the two aircraft are the same just one can carry bombs and the other cannot even though there are obvious differences between the two machines.

It's much like the difference between a 109E3/E4 and 109E7/F1/F2 as far as performance differences go.

I would really like for the devs to look into this and acknowledge as the 110 does seem to be quite a popular platform thus far and not a sideshow like it is in many other sims.

Thanks.

correct
beatiful plane though
with many bugs unfortunately
the canopy doesn't close and you can't perform a dive at 500klm

what do you expect , even more as the developers gave them the wrong canons.......
And btw, i doubt that that these differences in engine equipment in 1940 between these two 110s were a rule.
The more common Fighterbomber of the ErpGrp 210 (and that was the ONLY unit that used the 110 as fighterbomber during BoB ) was the Bf110D-0/B.

Germany would have not won the BoB because of that, but if all 110 Groups would have acted as fighterbombers - they would have done a much better work.
At the Easternfront, the also very few 110 Groups became a mainstay for groundattackwork - till 1943 , than it was over.

anyway, a CoD Bf110 line like:
Bf110C-4 with DB601B-1
Bf110C-7 (to fake the Bf110D-0/B) with DB601Ba (your P)
Bf110C-6 (i would like this 30mm canon ) with ........DB601Ba i would say, because of additional drag
Bf110C-4/N with DB601N, 3 Bf110 Groups used them.

would be my favorite....and, to say it again " give them (except the C-6) their MG-FF/M " !!

and with correct dive behaviour and a working 'Start-/Notleistung' please, and this weird canopy

To quote the 110 expert, John Vasco...

"The C-7 variant was essentially a 'C' airframe fitted with a central bomb rack. Many damaged 'C' airframes were repaired and retro-fitted with bomb racks."

Unfortunately the true fighter-bomber version of the 110, the D-0/B did not materialize in the sim for whatever reasons. This is the version Erp.210 used throughout the battle(for the most part) and the D series was just as important(numerically) as the C series during mid/late 1940.

Truthfully I wish 1C would have provided us with the following series:C-1, C-4, D-0/B, and D-3. On the fun list I would prefer the C-6(30mm kanones are fun!) and the D-0(pregnant 110!) for the obvious reasons.

Can't have too many 110s if ya ask me!
