what is a better item start?
Finally started playing this game, but might take a while since I'm swamped with work. Anyways, which of the following is a good "item start"? I did KBTL with Gladiator Sword and Ancient Amulet, and I have the following save games with these items at the start for KBAP and I can't decide which to proceed with:
1) Gladiator Sword-Ancient Amulet-order spell Call summon 2) Ancient Amulet-Draconix-order spell Call summon-spell Magic Pole-Axe 3) Gladiator Sword-Draconix-spell Magic Pole-Axe-baton item of leadership 4) Princess Set (slippers and dress at castle, cat headband at Bolo)-Ancient Amulet Paladin on Impossible, goal is high score and no losses. Any advise would be most appreciated. |

I vote for the option with the batton. Extra leadership is crucial on impossible. Besides, you should be able to purchase it before you move to the next island, as it is only 8000 gold.

I'd go for the sword and amulet personally. Those extra runes, mana and rage really help out a lot early to mid game.
