Default Unable to choose a plane in Co-Op missions

I am Unable to choose a plane in Co-Op missions
I have created co-op missions but then when we host it the person who hosts it can choose a plane (one of 4 flyable on the map)but no other player can choose a plane and spawn! Is this just a half finished Map editor or am I missing something really obvious?
On a completely different subject can anyone give me a rundown on:
1: Bail out. Tried to hit key to bail after blowing hatch off and nothing happens? (Yes, shoot is checked in spawnpoint)
2: compass. Is there any way to bind a view key to it? (not just instrument panel view)
3: when navigating do you use the large compass behind the stick or the electronic one on the instrument panel?
Regards

This might not be a good answer so bear with me.
It seems that only the host can choose an aircraft. You do that by slecting your aircraft on the map screen. After that you will have to have all your copilots on Teamspeak/Ventrillion. When they are ready and the mission is loaded you should press the Begin Battle/Start Server button. After that everyone will have to play "catch the horse".

In essense. The COOP part are almost useless.
We need a list like the one in IL-2 1946.
