I've already mentioned this in a thread here, but since this is a recent one having problems, I figured I'd add a mention here.

GameRanger is a new alternative for playing Fantasy Wars online. It is the easiest way to play, and doesn't require setting up port forwarding or dealing with other router/firewall issues. You should find it way simpler than Hamachi. You can download it at www.GameRanger.com

Why no hamachi, is a light software, simple to install and absolutly not invasive as many authers
I personally use hamachi and we are a big community

Hamachi is actually more invasive because it has to install a new Network Connection, but aside from that, you also have to worry about your Hamachi networks filling up with too many people, and then removing stale people. GameRanger also makes the launching completely automatic.
