Default High altitude and Big Box

What is it? I see big box below me on the ground *settings: high. As I think its a two kinds of textures? Totally unrealistc with two colors. I never see something like this in Rise of Flight, FSX, DCS ect. Please solve it too in the patch.

are the new graphical-engine resolve the hight-low limit terrain?
perhaps with and intermediate "middle res" it could be better...

Posted about that some time ago:

Don't know if the devs even consider this a problem or if it's "working as intended". Surely looks pretty bad for a flightsim in 2012.

Setting landscape details on high helps a bit. Also make sure Aniso-filtering is set on "application controlled" in drivers.
