Default TOW³Korea Bug List

Hello,

I made a little List of Bugs for the genuis third part of TOW.

Bug list:
1. Changed names of Soldier, Infantry Groups or Tanks are lost after battle.
2. Changed Crew of Tanks, heavy Weapons or Infantry Groups are lost after battle. Even the numbers of vehicle are changed.
3. Crew of armored reacon cars have no or not enough scout.
4. Sometimes CTD, most during saving game.
5.Sometimes game ist lagging and it will not stop
6.Sphere of influence of the officier isnt visible.
7.Upgrade the Skills or medals are lost if u start the strategy map.

No Bug, but some things that could be better:

1.In Line Formation officer is alway at left side. For his sphere od influence it ist better he is in the middle.

2. Korean Soldier looks like european.^^

3.Where are are troops of china and Soviet Union? North Korea was supportet by both countries and "volunteer" fought for the North.

4.Why have to fight the usa alone against the North? Where are troops of south korea?

5. Campaign Generator: it would be nice if can decide which units are in a division.

Uncheck the 'Historical Units Set' option in game settings, it was reported that in current version it causes unit disappearance in the campaign and other issues (this option removes IS-2 tanks from Korean army, that's all).

Editing battlegroups:
Run it Editor.exe (it is located in MissionEditor fodler), left-click Templates menu and then Load Army Template, choose an XML file from Generator\CAMPAIGNS\USA folder (or PRK folder). Edit army pool using the list on the right as you see fit (placement of these units on the empty map doesn't mean anything in case of Army template). Make sure to use Save Army Template command to save your changes.

Chinese troops and units of the rest of UN forces are not implemented. You can get IS-2s used by Chinese volunteers if you leave the 'Historical Units Set' option unchecked.

Officer sphere of influence - make sure 'Show commanders influence' option is checked in Settings - Interface.

some others...

1. American crew served machine guns cannot move.
2. Infantry never seem to get decorations (medals), no matter how many enemy they kill. Other unit types get them with no problems.
3. Mortars sometimes refuse to stop firing unless you have the crew abandon them temporarily.
4. During campaigns, tank crews (on staff screen before battle starts) often get mixed up if they were used in a previous battle (the tank commander is in a gunner spot, the assistant loader is now in commander spot, etc). Minor error, but annoying to have to re-arrange each time.
5. Captured soldiers turn grey and stay in position. The results screen showing the number of captured soldiers doesn't agree with the number that turned grey.

last, a very minor suggestion that applies to other TOW series games as well...
The soldiers should be listed by last names vice first names.
