Flight stick?

Is a flight stick needed to play the game? I was thinking of buying the game.....using the "dreaded keyboard" For 2-3 days and then buying a flight stick. Is it that unbearibly bad with a keyboard that its unplayable?
what would be a good flight stick in the 0-35 price range? 40$ tops nothing more.

It is a good investment. My first stick was the Logitech 3D. It's silver and black and probably goes for $30 on amazon. If you get hooked like many do, you can upgrade to rudder pedals and a better stick later on.
