Default Chat window

I just recently installed Il2 1946 after like 2 years, and after all the updating and some online playing, I noticed that there are no messages appearing at all in the in-game msg window. I tried few servers, not player chat nor server side messages. Anyone knows where could be the problem? Thanks

The chat window itself is there? Maybe you need to pull it down a bit.

S!

Not necessary a solution to your problem, but what happens to me a lot is that I have scrolled the chat (with default pageup/pagedown keys), and have left it not on the last line, so I will either see blank, or some old line of text. So I have to scroll down to see the new text again. I also recommend to expand the chat bar to more than 1 line of text (I have it on 3) so that if 2 or more chat messages come in rapid succession I will still be able to read them.

Um..............there is nothing wrong with your chat window. It's blank until you type a message into it.........

Happy Flying!

I gess there are 2 questions here:
1:is the mentioned fact that you may not be presenting the last line(text is scrolled up), and it seems like there is a huge lag between your type and the time it is shown to you. to this you must observe the tiny yellow line on the right side of the blue chat window, and bring it down.
2: after you open chat window you can push the window down or up by pushing the mouse arrow in the bottom of it. You can have a chat with eg. 10 lines, or just one. if you push a little more you will get no lines on the chat, just that list of
1
2
3
4
5
6
etc
Hope this helps... It is basicaly what untamo just said...
