"Heat Meter" Does not show!

In level 3, right after the first "scuba diving" mission, the heat meter (health) disappears completely. I don't know what is causing this.

I have an alternate file at level seven, and that file is still intact and is going without problems. I have to wonder if a file is corrupt or something.

*Note- I have momentarily turned off PhysX, and then turned it on again, before this problem appeared.
