Men Of War Assault Squad Lag

I have a AMD Phenom x4 9950 with 4 GB Ram. I have a ATI 4870 Gfx card and am running windows 7 ultimate 64bit. I presume this is more than enough to run Men of War AS on full settings. I leave it at the default Video settings.

Since purchasing MOW AS i have been having constant problems where it comes up with "finding server" in game and is very laggy. I believe i am the only one in the game suffering from this as the pings arent especially high in game.

When i switch to my task manager in game i notice it is maxed out on 1 core only. Is this normal for MOW AS to run on only 1 of my 4 quad cores and at 100% constantly barely fluctuating at all?

A response would be appreciated greatly to this problem. BTW I dont believe its a virus on my pc or anything like that because I reverted my hard drive to a Image file i took a few months back and installed MOW AS on it again and the same problem was there.
