Ingame camera

Is it possible to alter the position of the camera? I would personally like to have it at around ground level and closer to the figures/vehicles. I know you can 'unclip' the camera in the editor but as soon as you press 'start' the camera goes back to its' set position. Also can you 'fix' the camera to a figure or vehicle or map point for that matter and rotate the camera around?
