Default Problem with Windows 7 update

Latest Wimdows update seems to be giving me problems with CloD. Launcher fails on a CLR Error 80004005 - which I have seen before and has something to do with the .Net framework. If I roll back Windows to prior to the update, hey presto, CloD works fine, so it's definitely something in the Windows update.

Anyone else experiencing this problem or do I just have a personal and very spiteful gremlin living in my PC?

it seems that one of the newer updates is causing trouble with .net. was one of the updates for .net? if so, uncheck and try again.

besides, wouldn´t be the first time m$ messes up a update .

This happens if you run as admin?

Yes - in fact I can only run the game as admin. It will not launch from Steam or the desktop icon.

I'd say that this sim was only 1/2 finished but that might be an over-estimate

I fail to grasp the logic claiming it is the sim's fault that you put an additional update to your Win7 and suddently it does not work properly.

The logic is in my second sentence - it has never worked properly from day one, this Windows 7 update is just the most recent issue.
