After all these years I never noticed this...
I have been flying IL2 for over a decade.. and I never noticed that you can scroll through the options in the QMB/loadout screen for online stuff.. where you click fuel and weps options.. without having to hit that drop drop down menu.
I never realized that all you have to do is mouse over it and scroll and it will cycle through the options. It is just amazing to me that after all this time I am still hagving fun with this sim and still finding out new stuff... For years now I have been hitting the drop down menu and then scrolling through. |

I only quite recently discovered the differential braking that I've been cursing 1C for leaving out for so many years, makes taxiing sooooo much easier
I blame the poor documentation. |

As far as I know differential braking wasn't built into the sim ad still isn't but there is a work around..

The article I read said the sim uses the British implementation for all aircraft, and it does take some getting used to. The British design, instead of two seperate toe brakes, pressing the control-column brake lever applies both brakes equally, but then by using the rudder pedals, a pressure relay valve uses the rudder position to increase pneumatic pressure to the inside wheel brake and reduce brake pressure to the outside wheel. |

Yes but there is a work around of sorts. See the 4.13 wish list thread.

It would be neat to have seperate toe brakes for those aircraft that don't use the British design, but as long as we're able to steer using the brakes I can't see a need for a work around. |

I did look at it. My question was not how to do this work around, I asked why we need it. |
