Patches for IL-2 CoD on Steam

I'm New Here

I'm thinking of Getting IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover. I know people are having some isuses with the game and i want to get the patches. I'm getting the game from steam. And I'm just wondering. When you get the game from Steam do you need to download the patches? If you do need to download the patches where could I get them?

If you can tell me that would be great help.

That's correct.

Only the beta patches require manual extraction into the game folder, these are distributed here on the forums by links that the developers give us in a dedicated forum thread each time a new beta patch is available.

Whenever a beta patch is thoroughly tested and optimized after feedback from the users, it is then moved to official status.

The official patches are automatically distributed through Steam. As long as there is one available and you set Steam to update your game, it will automatically download and install it.
