Default FRAPS Problem

I haven't used FRAPS for many months and today I decided to record a track using FRAPS.

The result was a black screen with sound OK!

I think that I have the latest build of FRAPS (vers 5.5.9) and I know that FRAPS is working - I've successfully used it (today) to capture other videos that I have recorded - it just doesn't like the CoD tracks (can't even see the FRAPS frame counter on the track screen!).

Any suggestions?

I've looked at teh various FRAPS-related questions and none appear to fit my exact situation.

Not sure if the Team Fusion mod has anything to do with the problem?

Howzit Mungee

Another Durbanite, go figure

I have just gotten back into IL2 series after a long layoff.
Have used fraps for many years.

I have a similar problem with Fraps and CLOD.
With me fraps works right up until the point I hit fly and actually get into the cockpit, (i can record all the splash screens and see the fps counter in the corner of the screen), then for some or other reason it seems to not recognize the game anymore but starts to record my trackir window, which is minimized????

Very odd and frustrating.
I have tried reverting to normal desktop from aero, and back, with no change in the results.
I run 2 monitors, only one monitor is used for game display though.
Need to turn the other one off and see if it still does this.

I have no problem with fraps on any other sim I play and have the latest version installed?

Would love to find a solution to this as well.

Lekka

I'm embarrassed to say this, but I can't recall how I fixed it ... but I did.

I THINK that I uninstalled the version of FRAPS that I had, and then I downloaded and installed the latest version from the "members" section of he FRAPS website!

My current problem is that my Steam account has gone AWOL, and they're taking a long time to resurrect it for me! So no CoD until they bloody well do that!

Regards.

Rob

I am sure I am using the latest version, but will download it again from the members area and give it a whirl.

Thanks

Updated to 'v3.5.99 build 15618' and its working perfectly now.

Thanks
