Default Game shuts down computer on start of new game

Hi all,

Everytime I start a new game the prologue writing appears, but as soon as the game starts, it instantly shuts down my computer. I dont even get to see the picture, just instant shut down. I am trying to run the game at max settings, but even turning them down doesn't stop it from shutting down.

Specs as follows:

i7 920 processor
10gb DDR3 RAM
640gb hard drive
GTX295 gfx card
700w PSU
Vista Home Premium 64bit

All other games work flawlessly at max settings, including crysis and crysis warhead.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Oh, and im using the latest beta drivers 185.81

Thanks

Hey I'm having the same problem right after the quote from "Hesse" both of the pcs i have shut off. Never have I had that happen before where a game shuts my pc down...bad 1c I hear the game is great but, somehow that is just not very fulfilling haha
PC1
Intel 6320 DC
2GB Corsair DDR2
250GB HD
900W PSU
BFG 8800GTX
Vista Ultimate 32Bit
Nvidia Drivers 185.85
Physx 9.09.0408

PC2
Intel 6320 DC
4GB Corsair DDR2
500GB HD
900W PSU
ATI Diamond 4870X2
Windows 7 Build 7043
ATI Drivers 8.612

Both Pcs can play everything at full graphics including Crysis, AoC, COD4, COD:WAW and quite few other resource hogs
