Default No mouse input

I just purchased Cryostasis, installed, then patched to v1.1. Installation, option selection and game start went fine. Graphics and movement are smooth, however, the game doesn't appear to accept mouselook input in-game. Movement controls are fine. I'm using a Labtec wireless USB mouse. I certainly hope this isn't a USB issue, because my ASUS Rampage Extreme mobo has no provision for a PS/2 mouse. Is there a fix for this? Looking at the sky is getting old. Thanks.

Mouse works fine in menus? Do you have other controller (steering wheel, joystick, gamepad, trackir) attached to your PC? If yes, try to disconnect it.

The only other USB device attached is the wireless dongle. No other controllers or anything that should interfere with the mouse input.

Maybe there are additional controls on your keyboard like trackball, mini-joystick?

No, I looked. Just mouse, which seems to be immobilized in the game.

A long shot, but try to turn the vertical sync in game options on.
If this doesn't help, i would uninstall the game and then reinstall it and the patch (run the installers using the 'run as administrator' context menu option just in case).

VSync is already on, and I run as Admin by default (XP). This thing just doesn't make any sense to me at all. I may try to turn Vsync *off*, just to see if it does anything, but I doubt it. It definitely looks like an input problem. Hey, any admins? Anyone?
