End of Swamp bug

I am at the end of the Swamp where you see ghost people standing around. I walk over to the lever on the wall and pull it. The ghost images go away and I have no exit and I can't go up anywhere. I walk all over the place but mesh gates block every exit. Anybody encounter this? I am running with the latest patch.
