Stucken in mission, please help me !
Hey guys, i have trouble in one mission, precisely in system Dionysus, where i should escort convoy. I done that and now some pirate jumped into sector with big army and i need to blow my ship near to them to kill them. But i dont know how to do it. Pirates are stacked near portal, my battle ship cant get there in time and if i send there my fighters it do nothn. After short period of time my battleship explode and game over. I really dont know what to do, can you anybody help me pls? It would be much appreciated !

I figured it out, after like 20 tries, quest should be more detailed or somtn.

There's several triggers here, it's hard to tell you what to do when you just tell us you're in this system (especially since there are two versions of this mission AND several possible decisions you can make, but the OP mentioned "escort convoy" so I'm guessing you're on the NESF side, not MSF). So I'll just tell you everything that happens.
1. Portal into system. Continue escorting the transport until it reaches the station. Sometimes when you reach the station nothing happens, so you have to move your mothership manually a little closer to trigger the next part of the script. 2. Some dialog happens and you have a choice to make. Whichever you choose, the attackers from the portal and the fleeing transports must both be destroyed. Players who failed somewhere along here likely missed the transports or killing all the attackers in time (there are two waves of attackers). Strangely, if you stray away from the station too far during the first attack (iirc) you will also lose. Caution: I'm not 100% sure of this - but I've never "mysteriously lost" this mission when I leave at least 1 fighter in sight of the station. (Actually, I've never lost this mission, period, but usually my team is strong enough to breeze through this - gen 5 ships, nearly maxed pilots, etc). 3. Move to the staging point. Don't be slow. There are allies following from the rear but they don't exactly follow you / wait for you. I never arrive after them so I don't know what happens if you're late (and why take the risk to find out?). 4. Move to the portal and engage the fleet in battle. If you have any long range missiles or torpedoes, fire all of them before you get close. It's a nasty fight. (It's actually not that hard but I've played several times already and usually by this point I've already gone grinding for loot and exp.) 5. Escort the transports from the other station to the portal. After that just jump through the portal and continue in the next system. Last edited by Trucidation; 09-23-2010 at 12:47 PM. |

Hi. Thanks for your thoughtful reply. However i dont recognise your instruction at all.
I am in that system escorting optic fibres for dont know which side. A french sounding name. Le Verande or similar. Escort and arrive at a ruined station far side to gate. Eveil pirate appears at gate. Escort party acuse me of leading them here. To prove otherwise have to use bombs mounted on fighters. 3 options. Choose use bombs. Send fighters to gate to engage evil pirate. Mothership blows. Game over. Wtf. Hope this helps Thanks again |

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. The guy's name is La'Vertius. Hell, I still have the screenshots.
Your problem is at the choices: 3 choices. Unfortunately I don't remember the other two choices but I do remember the suicidal bomb one (you picked that one?! o_O). Note: if you have the Intuition perk, you get a fourth choice. I always pick that one. Since I never picked the bomb-on-fighters choice (Che suggested this, right?), I can't tell you what to do. However, look at the mission log. What is the goal listed there? Edit: Basically, you have 3 problems. 1 is the real traitor who sold you out and let the pirates know about the shipment, 2 is defending the station, and 3 is taking out the attackers. I think since in your choice you haven't unveiled the traitor, the bastard is causing your gameover. You need to spare someone to watch the other ships supposedly escorting the convoy. Right...finally figured this out.
My main man was flying the mothership with the other 3 in fighters. I guess the bombs were associated with the pilots and not the fighters, so for some reason the mothership kept blowing up. Anyway docked Che, put my man in Che's fighter and undocked... Voila! ...cut scene of bomb run. Thanks for help. |

1. if you refuse to take the bomb and ask for authentification from NESF officer, the NESF fighters on that system will shoot u
2. if you take the bomb mission, you will be scorted by Che in your mothership, should be tactical enough to win his option 3. if you decide to confront pirates on your own, make sure that before you get to that system you already paid some mercs (with 5 or more fighters), let the , mercs do the works, just make sure that all your figthers (including Che) attacking the pirate captain only, the one with butcher,...if you finish them all, the pirate captain should be ejected in his escape pod and will be killed by you team mate!. 4. if you have intuition perks, then you, and the NESF will joined to destroy the pirates gang, but you will have to repell their attacks first 5. the trader, La vertius will be captured by the NESF! |
