Newcomer question

Hello all,
I recently purchased a Lenovo laptop Y50 (I got the i7-4710HQ Processor with 2.50GHz 1600MHz 6MB and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 4GB). I had read earlier that CLOD was not well optimized for laptops (and that it wasn't well optimized in general). Have things changed since its release? I am interested in buying the game and playing, but only if I can get some reasonable performance. Will this laptop suffice? The processor has turbo boost, but I envision it being the limiting factor for gameplay.

And yes, I know a PC desktop would have offered better performance for less money, but I had to buy something that I could take into work, so I am making do with what I have for now. Any feedback would be awesome.
