Default Rocket launchers don't work

hey everyone,

I recently got MoW and theres a strange problem, all the rocketlaunchers and the ptrs are not working on vehicles, the projectile hits the vehicle but nothing happens, it does not do any damage whatsoever, however when shooting at infantry it does damage.

anyone have any clue about this?

thanks

Have you updated your game to the latest version, ie. 1.17.5?

In vanilla MoW (not patched) the Rocket Launchers are too weak, but ptrs rifles did work as far as I can remember, however, they aren´t of much use against anything heavier than light tanks and/or armored cars, though they can break the tracks of all tanks with not too much trouble.

Thanks for the answer, I patched it and rocketlaunchers work perfectly now, however, the PTRS still doesn't really show much effect, even with light tanks. The shot just bounces off. It works perfectly with unarmored vehicles though.

By the way, can you tell me if and how I can disable the hit indication messages, like "Hull destroyed" etc. ?

Ptrs rifles should work, you just need to know where to hit. Avoid hitting vehicles on frontal areas (where armor is much thicker) and try to hit in the rear or the side of a vehicle. Also keep in mind, that the further away you are from a target, the less penetration.

To turn off those messages, you need to alter your game files, and if you arent used to these things, I wouldnt recommend it. If you really do loath them, you could download the mod "Dynamic Campaign Generator" (http://www.moddb.com/mods/dynamic-ca...-generator-dcg) which has the necessary fixes done (but using mods do alter the game experience and can make the original missions very un-balanced).
