New Server Side Software

So here's my question, keeping in mind that we are all frothing for Sow BoB info...

Why would Sammie be coming out with new server side software this late in the game? Considering what's being used is working great. I know there is a new interface and new tracking options.....but why this late in IL2's life?

Could they be beta testing for .....shhhhhh........storm of war?
