Default how to solo in the Emil?

I cant seem to figure out how to solo in the 109. When I first set the sim up, I chose a British pilot, and so the solo plane is a HUirricane. But I keep selecting a German pilot, and the 109 as the plane (first I see the Spit IIA, and click it to select a 109), then I click Save, but it always comes back to the Hurricane. I know I"m doing something wrong, and I've read the manual, but I can't seem to sort it out. Need an assist.
thank you,
Flyby out

Hi

Are you talking about single- or multiplayer?

Default hello, I was speaking of single-palyer

I know there are alternatives such as learning the ropes online with a squadron, but I wanted to see if I could give it a go as an offline single player. I just can't sort it out, short of creating a mission, which seems to be the only way. So, there it is.

Well, if you select a mission in the quick-mission-menu, you will see the planes for both sides (in some missions you got several plane-types per side). Above the plane-pictures, you will see pilot-faces/bodys. By klicking on those pilote-faces, you select your plane. The ones you did not select, are more transparent.

In this picture, the hurricane is selected:

But attention: You are only able to select flyable aircraft. So if klicking on it does not work, the plane is probably not flyable.
