Default travel time matter?

I read the forum and see that people try to finish the game as early as possible, I was wondering why is that? Higher score?

I wanted to enjoy the game as much as possible so I don't care about travel time, I just go back and forth, refill units, is there a penalty for that? Just wondering.

Yes, finishing sooner will give you a higher end score.

You don't need to go back and forth to buy more units. With the spell Sacrifice you can kill off a part of one stack to increase another. With Resurrection (spell or unit ability) or Repair (droids) you get back the units you sacrificed.

You can search for it with the KBscanner.

If you don't want that or the scanner gives you no useful location, you can get it in the treasures dug up by your Pet Dragon. If your lucky of course.
