Post Who will be my teammates "Spoiler"

Hi all,

Does anyone have a tip on who will be my pilots and how to get them and what their specializations will be. I heard that Tennie would die no matter what. Is it true?

Thank you

I guess I should make it a Spoiler

I have gone up till the quest to look for another new Mothership. Just before that, you will be able to recruit a guy named Silverlight (I will have to double to check to confirm, once I got home). His skill more of heavy weapon spec with a unique skill 'Lone Ranger', which makes him powerful if he's alone ie not in a team.

Earlier you will get Tennie, and she much on gunnery, especially sniping. At the moment, I just let Tennie to pilot my Mothership, while my hero and Silver on fighters. So far so good.

But then, it would be helpful if anyone who had finish the game just let us know how to get these recruitable mercs?

Besides that, are they all story-drive (can acquire them on certain stage of main quest?) or you need to seek them in different places?

Thanks for help guys, I love these game so much!

Thanks.

Actually it seems that we have gone on different story lines. My guy is greyhair instead of Silverlight. Also I never had anyone inside the MS. Never did it even in SW 1. Anyone can advise if it helps at all to have one pilot in MS?

For Mercs, if you are docked in a station and switch to "Office" you will see their ads, click and check "yes" and they will be hired.

Oh, in SW23, you can actually use your pilot to pilot mothership. Obviously what ever perk you have from your pilot will benefit MS itself (repair rate, accuracy etc). At trade station, at hangar tab, you will see that your MS have a small slot at the corner, just like a fighter, to put the pilot. Simply click and drag your pilot there, and voila! You will notice a change to the MS's stat as well (manevuraibilty, top speed etc) affected by your pilot stats.

Oh, is that the merc for hire thing, those who escort you throughout the map? I know about that one. I mean these pilots that we use in our team. Still have 4 slots left, but dont know how to get them.

Thanks for pointing out I have been so ignorant about this game. Now I have to weigh painfully whether to have a MS piloted by AI or have it run by one of my pilots, at the obvious cost that my small fighter team will be down from 3 to 2.

Based on my limited experience on SW 1, pilots can only be found through different missions.

Can MS use pilot's special abilities? Can it snipe, etc?

alrite noted that.

At the moment, my mothership with Tennie piloting it (she has those nice accuracy perks) seems to kill many of my enemies faster than my fighters. Maybe it because i was treasure hunting cache asteroids earlier, and nick myself some awesome high level turrent guns and heavy calibre guns for my MS.

Sadly, the pilot on MS cannot use his/her active skill. Tennie has a starting snipe skill rite? When she's piloting my MS, the icon for Snipe is not there. However, my hero's Sixth Sense does effect the MS as well, even my hero is piloting a fighter outside MS.

Is there an accuracy spec about MS? Can you see the difference in specs with or without human piloting MS ? Also if your Ternie kills many her XP should have a higher increase rate that others. But I heard she will die at some point. Need confirmation from veterans in this game.

note that too about the 6th sense. What have you looted from those caches? I never got those Wyverns mentioned in other posts. Guess because I am playing normal. So far I only got a couple of gunslingers and tridents.

No you can't use any active ability and obviously missile skill is useless.

Actually it's an easy choice if you buy the firmware upgrades at the maintenance stations since those bonuses take effect only if no char is assigned as pilot and the mk3 versions are usually provide better or equivalent bonuses then even a maxed out character. What it's good for is changing your bonuses. say your MS gets heavily damaged than you could change from your flight spec firmware to a system spec pilot to boost your shield/armor regen or switch to a gunner if your having trouble hitting your enemies.

Oh and Tennie survived my first play through on alex path.

Thanks. I haven't eaten or drunk to save about 500 g for the firmware. Will purchase MK3 when I have a little extra cash for emergency merc hiring.

Ternie didn't die in my finished NESF/Corsair campaign. Just started MSF and any info regarding her death 'd be nice? I don't really want to lose her

Oh and the last thing I'd do is to let her sit in the mo-ship, I know the guns 'll be better, but she was one of my best gunner in my latest campaign (particle rifles with her skill deliver quite a punch)

I'll stick with system Mk. III, wasn't that bad
