Crown of Blackthorne

Hi All

I have just confronted and beaten (just) the black knight on Elon (rescuing his soul etc) and have been given a confusing message about the crown of blackthorn which now appears to have the Morale status: terrible (2). What does this mean exactly as I do not have any Thorns in my current lineup but was intending to get some?

The crown is a type of headgear (like a helmet) and a "living" item. It loses morale every fight and when it reaches zero it stops functioning. Then you have to fight it's "guardians" to restore it's morale back to full.
