Default Bullet Proof Windscreens.

Bullet Proof Windscreens were fitted to Spitfires and Hurricanes following experience in the Battle of France. Was it Dowding who pushed for it?

And note the cracked windscreen on the Ju 88. Excellent detail!

Best Regards,
MB_Avro.

I don't like the way holes are modeled in the 109 canopy... They always appear in the exact same location and with a very doubtful projectile trajectory. They act like those magic bullets that were used to assassin JFK. (e.g. being shoot from behind and gaining a big hole in front of the canopy but no "enter" holes from behind.)

I know now why they call the Walrus a flying boat

After a succsessful head-on pass with my E-4 I watched a Walrus going down minus its tail. It went into a flat spin, and as I got farther I watched a tiny speck going really slowly towards the sea...not seeing any kill message in the hud window, I went to external view and had a little surprise: the damn thing had "landed" on the sea and was sailing happily towards England

Those are great pics. Can't wait for the vid.

Did anyone notice that, in the first ME109/Spitfire pic,the pieces flying off are all the same shape? Also, their size doesn't seem to square with the damage. Just one of those shortcuts programmers take, I guess.
