Another what ever happened too thread..... B29
One of the sad episodes from the bitter Ubi/Maddox V Grumman law suit days was the very brief and spiteful showing of a still-born B-29 cockpit (as seen below), I wonder what ever became of this quite advanced project?
Has the legal climate changed any since those dark aggravating days, that may allow such projects to be resurrected? And yes I'm aware that there is an SAS one now, but I would like to know of the fate of the official original as I still fly stock only. The Mod version just for comparison: In addition I seem to also recall, yet can find reference a Do18 and aHe115 project from around the same period that missed the inclussion date and wonder if these jems also lay dormant on some hard drive somewhere just wanting to be set free? A torpedo run in a He115 sure would be cool, not to mention take offs and landings

We have the cockpit file only, which is not perfect, but ok. We got it from Maddox, but no other stations. We suspect, there have been ones, but probably never reached Maddox.

G'day Casper
Thanks for the info re the B29, however it this make me wonder what other gems TD have hidden away, as I also seem to recall the suits killed off a lot of other potential inclusions?!? Oh and here's that He115, not quite as andvanced as I remembered. Again Thanks

I don't know anything about the He115 or the Do18 ... there are no files from Maddox.
We have quite a few (approx. half a dozen) unfinished models in the treasure chest, which will or will not make it.

"Mr. Strange, Mrs. Useless and their neat little daughter, Ms. NiceToHave."
No no, I won't name it here, sorry, I just think, it wouldn't make any good sense.

Needs more Curtiss.
Just kidding of course. Patiently waiting for the new Hawks. Well, as patient as I can be.

That cockpit is amazing though. It would be a real treat to have. |

Thought only the CW-21 never reached the battlefield.
But what's the matter between they and the B-29,that I supposed it was entirely made by Boeing? |

Actually the KNIL-ML used the CW 21 in combat in Java.
