Free Roam mode?

Is there a Freeroam mode?, so you can just drive through the enviorment your self with out any points you have to reach and without timer? (haven't played the game yet, black screen at startup)

to do a "free roam " i just go onto quick race i think the menu is and go to orienteering and just dont go to gates just mess around with your truck you can also do this in the championship.!

Is there a decent amount of free running when you do something like this?
