Default Idea: Larger Rune, magic crystal and Radar wheel

Rune and magic crystal on the ground are little bit hard to notice. Current green and blue color are hard to tell from grass or crystal ore in mine and very easily mixed up. It should have little bit larger (+50%) size and have more distinctive/bright color.

For underground treasure box, which is dug by Hero, It seems that hero's treasure detection range (with light beam from sky) is little bit too small. In many case, when hero runs on the way, the period that light beam lit is too short and ignored by player failing to notice the treasure box. The detection range/distance should be expanded and the period of light-beam lit should be extended.

On circular map radar wheel: Whwn using rotating map radar, N, E, W, S maker in perimeter of circle marker is little bit hard to read. Please mark "North" maker with larger lettering/ large arrow mark with distinctive/bright color like red or light green color.

Is there any way to set direction of map to fixed direction (north) when my Hero enters or leaves the map region?
When hero enters a region, the adventure map is aligned to various directions depending on region and used portal gate. I have to manually rotate the adventure map to let the map face north direction.
It would be nice that map face always to north direction automatically regardless of region and portal gate when entering any region.
.

I found graphic texture resource file used to draw dial of the mini-map radar. It is 'tex4.dds' file in (GAME INSTALL-DIR)\data\data.kfs.
I'd like to modify it so that the 'N'(north) marker is more larger and distinctive color (or big red arrow mark) than other 'E', 'W', 'S' markers. But I don't know how to modify DDS file.
Any one to help me?

Arrow Changing DDS files.

DDS files are the images used in the game.

You can use a free, easy to use, image converter program designed just for modders.
Convert the .dds to .jpg - use a graphic program to edit the .jpg. Then convert it back again as a .dds
Get it here:

It's really easy to use and well worth it ( it's freeware).

Default Larger map object mod

This mod enlarges size of some objects spawned on adventure map.
Affected objects: magic crystal, gold, magic runes (might, mind, magic)
Static, non-spawned object of same type is not affected.

To install: Extract 'mod_larger_mapobj.kfs' file from ZIP file
and put it to <GAME_INSTALL_DIR> (King's Bounty. The Legend)/data/mods folder.

To remove: Remove the kfs file from mods folder and restart game.

This mod is based on "mod_freeseer_2x_objects" authored by 'freeseer' @ KBTL forum.
Thanks, freeseer.
Freeseer's mod includes large collection of objects spawning on the map.
(ex: lead ship flags, shrines, boxes, etc...)
I selected just few frequently found objects and reduced the scaling factor.
Scaling factor of freeseer's objects is 2.0 (200% of original size).
I reduced it to 1.5 (150%)

Default Minimap radar dial mod.

I finished the minimap dial image. Here it is.
I changed the color of 'North' marker in perimeter of the minimap radar dial to make it easier to notice from other East/West/South marker. Please, padon me my poor Photoshop skill

To install it, just drop 'mod_radardial.kfs' file from ZIP file to the (GAME_INSTALL_DIR)/data/mods folder.
Thanks Jinix the Elder and others for helpful advice.
