Scramble bug?

I made a mission where 6 AI Spitfires have to scramble under ground attack by a group of Bf110s. The first two Spits take off but the rest of them seem to give full throttle without releasing their brakes. They take off normally if the Bf110s are not so close. Is this a bug, or are they too in hurry to make the right take off?
