Default Building a Dedicated server

I am trying to build a solid dedicated gaming server for IL2, and I want it to be powerful enough and ready for future games like BOB SOW. My question is, will I need a video card for a dedicated gaming rig or is an on-board video card on a mobo good enough?

Typically games in the past did not need a good vid card for dedicated servers, just one that could run a monitor, but with technology always changing and video cards doing more and more work calculating information, I was wondering if this is still true (hoping it is).

Gaming server I plan to build is:
processor 6 core AMD
4 gigs of ram (to start)
Solid State Drive for fast reading
and a solid mobo with integrated video and fast internet mumbo jumbo

What Im planning on not getting:
Video card

Any info, tips, or guidance on the hows and whys to build a dedicated server for SOW and or IL2 will be greatly appreciated.
