I think it'd be too big a chore to make all the crosses into Swastikas.
This comes up in EVERY WW2 era themed game. Can't show them in many countries in Europe and developers want to reach the largest market possible. I would have rather seen proper Iron Crosses take their place instead of the skinny cross that they did use. Just a personal preference to revisionist history |

According to the information I possess swastikas are forbiden in the whole Europe. I understand your wish to feel more historical realism in the game, but that's the law and we follow it.

Remember when Prince Harry of England went to a costumeparty some years ago, dressed as an SS-officer with Swastika-band on his arm? This is not illegal, since it was a costumeparty. Now, when he would be brandishing it, screaming "sieg heil" and singing Horst Wessel, now that would be illegal. What he did was bad taste, but not illegal. The same goes with other general use. It is certainly not illegal to use swastika's in computer games, unless the game itself glorifies nazism. |
