Picking items up?

Ok, so this is entirely stupid here...

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to pick up a dropped weapon DURING combat. "G" does not work nor does "I"

Works fine once combat is over... WTH?

G/I during combat only works when you're right next to it. Try CTRL, it should change the cursor into pickup mode. If not, you have to set the modifier key in the options.
