Default How long is daylight?

I'm waiting for the onset of night (afternoon/evening - this counts as night, right?) to attack Karador due to bonuses, but it just won't come, no matter what I do: wait in a boat, wait on land, walk, sail, cross the border between Grey Wasteland and Death Valley numerous times, even tried sailing to Darion and back again to Magic Valley, but it was the same neutral "daylight" on both sides. Argh!!

I take it you mean sailing between continents. Well, what I did was just wait in a boat and read a book. Didn't have to wait much longer, thankfully.
