It never was my intention to make people sad, on the contrary.

Highlight for spoiler:
The Book can be found in the altar at the prison, El Vertigo which is located west of Ciudad-de-Oro.

If you find that mission hard, you'll cry blood when you start looking for the mission pages from it

About the manuals, there has been some controversy about it and there are two camps.

One side believes that it works as they did in Brigade E5, they'll increase the speed in which you gain skill in said weapons when carried in the inventory. Sniper skill when using SVD, heavy weapon skill when using grenade launchers and so forth.

The other side, the one I belong to, thinks that they make no difference. In Brigade E5 you could only gain 5 points every week in those skills, in 7.62 you can gain 5 points every day. This would mean that you theoretically can have a 100 point in 20 days and that would seriously f-up the balance of the game and the devs decided to remove that function.

But if anyone feel like trying it out, I would be glad to be proved wrong in my assumptions

yep, nice question (the manuals)

i carried the stuff around. in inventory and/or in the truck but it kinda was to no good. I was putting my hopes in the mechanic in Ciad de Oro or something like that but that one was a fail , hoped for the same principle as in E5.
No good. Personaly they could had at least set that papers to be readable and afterwards increase skill in those thing lets say by 1 or improve some of the handlings of the character like faster shots per second, faster reloading, faster cleaning or ataching and detaching of the addons or at least to improve the care of the char for the particular item so its easier to keep it clean for longer or decreased propability of jamming the gun when its dirty like s..., or even to improve damage of the weapon and so if the character who read the manual is carrying it.

Maybe once someone will figure out how to implement something from the above.

Default SPOILER - BOOK of KOANS and THE MISSING PAGES

I hope someone wont get mad at me for posting this but I can understand the dudes who are worry about these two quests. ALthough the book of koans i found even before I got the mission as I am quite an explorer type guy so what. Man but those pages gaved me quite a headache i thoroughly inspected every single location, every stupid box. trashcan even a phonebooth OMG. mostly found useless things except some scopes, mines, explosives, and silencers or even weapons wih silencers, but actually all the running around with the camera and my guys wasnt really worth it-There should be some help like the show openable objects as in comandos for example=DOnt mind during some special events and fights in jungles to go through it manualy but in towns=its a death penalty.

Btw i managed to find all the missing pages, yet I am unable to figure out how to hide the spoiler and make it highlightable in this reply as the letter colours arent accessible so i cant write it now . If anyone can write the locations for the poor guys who cant find those thing just send me a PM witha request for it and I repply with their locations

Nope, only in your car once u get it. The bigger car the more place u get. Basicaly i bought myself the first little jeep and than had a mission with and URAL as reward The quest with Ural appears after quite some time so buy atleast something to cary u around, but dont invest much, its not so worthy.

E5 could also store items in safes in Banks but here the banker is an i.... I killed him before i finished the game during a guerilla raid Pre planned missfire as he was totaly worthless through the game.

The Back Stab mission. The one where you escort Willi Krauf. I am ready to go but the dialogue offered says i have something to do first. Am I missing something? I already spoke to the driver and business partner.

You need to drop off your car at the bartender before you'll get the dialog option to leave.

EDIT:

You could do me a favor by checking the exact syntax of the dialog option you get when having a car and not being able to continue the mission. If you do I can add the "first leave your car" in the dialog. I found two very similar entries in the e6q.txt and am not sure which one to edit.

It's either 1:
"Wait a second, I just need to do this thing here..."

Or 2:
"Wait a minute, I need to take care of one thing here..."

Or it might be something else.
