TrackIR and Exterior Views...
Hi Everone,
I really am enjoying the 4.12 update especially with my new TrackIR setup! It is extremely versatile in the cockpit as I scan the gauges and look out the canopy. But it is a little difficult to manage the exterior views... Is there a way to turn off the 6DOV for exterior views and just be able to use the mouse to rotate and zoom the view aspect? I found a quick way is to remove my hat that I clip the TrackIR receptacle sensors to... But that is hard to do in the middle of combat! Any advice is heartily welcomed... The new patch is awesome and has breathed new life into an old flightsim that's been a friend for many years!! Cheers!! Craig |

There is a "pause TrackIR" key built-in to the software. It's either F9 or F12 by default, though you can check the key assignments in the TrackIR software to be sure.
This will stop TrackIR position updates, and allow you to use the regular keyboard and mouse controls. |

Hi Pfeil,
Thanks for the info! I'll give it a try... maybe I can assign the "Left Windows" key, it doesn't have any other use during the flightsim Cheers, - Craig |
