Is Book of Evil the most horrible spell
It does horrible damage and need to recharge after 1 cast. The amount of the cost to cast it is not even worth it to upgrade. Anyone found a good use for it?

I believe it hase a good magic resistance so you can use it to absorb some damage from certain troops. |

Which further proves how useless it is.

I think that is why it is called the Book of Evil. When you realize all that mana to cast and all those crystals for a subpar spell, CRAP, this thing is EVIL!

Yea, absolutely!!
So EVIL. |

I wonder how it could be improved, though...
Perhaps allowing the caster of the book to choose from a list of available offensive spells? |

Or let it cast multiple times without recharging and have it keep to the rear (so in long battles it pays off), or let it cast spells at higher INT than the creator, or just up it's hp and def to make it into a decent "tank" unit to sit on the battlefield which incidentally casts spells, or give it its own set of unusual unique spells to cast which the player simply can't...
As it is, you get less control over what spells are cast and who they target, the spells are weaker, the spells happen later in the round, and it usually costs more mana. Pretty much the definition of useless. |

I like the unique spells idea, if the developers could come up with some good ones.
How about giving the book of evil a spell that allows you to recharge a unit's abilities? What...there is no such spell in KB:AP? |

the high cost make it quite ineffective
but when used properly u could block something with it.. but anyhow summoned units are far better but then again who knows i never use it anyway |

Because the book, casting spell by itself can cast for instance - Lighting, and so damaging various units in battlefield. Or casting spell that is not needed. It would be best, if the spellcaster chooses spells to cast, which and where. Quote:

Or, the book gives 3 (or X) random spells to use, which you can then use in the battlefield. Let's say one random chaos, one random order, and one random distortion spell. I like when every spell is somewhat useful. |
