Default Just wondering --2010

I don't want to be attacked. If you have nothing to add of value... then don't. I was hoping for a 2010 BOB release date. Now here we are in mid March. No site. Biweekly requests for buildings, bridges, medals, h@ly Sh@t events etc...

I am starting to feel that a 2010 release date is slipping away. I know that it's done when its done and you would rather have a "finished" game etc.... I have been very happy with IL2 and have been playing since day one. I am confident that Oleg will release a new milestone in flight simming and I will drop IL2 like a hot potato.

Here we are in mid March- Is this game comming out his year?

Propably, yes. Oleg stated the game has to be released in 2010 and the aim is the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain which is either 10th July or 24th August. Correct me please, if I´m wrong.

yes I have heard that (and am or course hoping it's true) But four months away is that possible? with continuing requests for objects.

Even though i would be suprised if it was released in july im trying to look at it in a differant way, i doubt they would start moddeling medals before all the major features where done or almost done.

Since they are requesting models and texture art it seems logical to assume that the engine is done and now they are painting the pretty pictures. My fingers are crossed for a summer/fall release.

I'd think that would depend on the type of objects being requested. He's asking about the fine details of buildings, not the fundamentals of aircraft. Perhaps the 'object modelling' already scheduled for the sim is largely finished, and he's decided to add a few extras with the spare capacity. Who knows?

It's worth remembering that there will be different specialist teams working on different parts of the application, so adding extra ground objects may have no significant effect on release timing.

Sorry, without raggin' on you. No one knows, but like everyone else is speculating... "It should be released this year".

Pick up on a copy of IL2 1946- and update with the TD addons. You'll be able to do online and enjoy some very awesome improvements.

There is so much stuff available for IL2 you won't be bored, and you won't run out of things to do.

Most of us have taken the IL2 route, and we are anxious for the new 4.10 release of TD patch to IL2 1946.

Yep, as nearmiss said:

Most of us are enjoying the latest TD patches
Or there are other ways to enjoy the game.
Dunno if I can really write it here.
Still....

March...God the years is almost over (lol)...

But seriously...Oleg said something about more video updates (or was it final map textures) in August (updates), so I'm guessing that a July release is "out".

Oleg has said that the lions share of the work is in the engine, which is in fine tuning stages. It appears that the planes are mostly done, which would logically be most of the rest of the work. Missions, buildings and game play issues are the last thing to do, which is what is going on now.
On top of all that Oleg as much as admitted that the Game HAS to be released this year. Given smooth sailing (no major problems or cock ups) then a 2010 release is not so hard to believe.
That's my $.02 worth any way, and it don't mean a thing.
