The update is not shown in the Steam update history ?
Since i downloaded the game today i would like to know, if in fact, the updates are in the game files before starting a game (different game build?).
Can anyone help with this ?
Thank you.

Hooray, a patch! But what does this mean? Does it mean they are now accessible and they weren't before? I'm not sure what to note in the bugs thread. Thank you!

it sucks hard that you need to restart everytime to make certain fixes available.
A BAD case of programming.

Some things are fixed in a random generator that only starts each new game. It makes sense in a way that you can't cheat to reload mid-game to revisit certain shops to find the creature / spells you want.
For bugfixes mid-game it's a nightmare though.

So can I finally start playing the game I bought almost a week ago or will I have to wait even longer before being able to play it without being forced to restart it as soon as a patch comes out?...

See the modified date of ses.kfs (or loc_ses.kfs). If your Steam client always online, it automatically updates patch. Don't worry about that

And I can tell you that killing the ice dragons no longer crashes the game. YAY!!! I'll have to go back and get rid of the two I left behind now.

I desire to get playing but I really don't want to restart because bugfixes don't apply to saved games. I just hope devs fix most bugs fast so I can start.
