4x4: Hummer and Saitek 4-in-1 with Windows 7 x64

Hello everybody,

a friend of mine tries to run "4x4: Hummer" at Windows 7 x64 with a "Saitek 4-in-1 Vibration Wheel".
The game runs fine on his machine, the wheel works fine with other games on his machine but "4x4: Hummer" is not recognizing the wheel.
Does anybody have a suggestion what we can try to make the wheel working with that game?
