Default Memory Leak on North West Europe Map?

Hello all, not scare mongering but curious regarding a poorly performing dogfight mission on NWE map last night; lots of stuttering and generally frustrating pauses. Not to do with spawning, or too many user inserted objects (was quite austere as some maps go!) but it was the only map last night that I hosted that had these issues - with even me; the host!

Then i recalled a similar issue many moons ago on Spits V 109s, someone on line suggested a memory leak might be responsible.

What is a memory leak, could it be the problem here and is it worth approaching TD to investigate?

Cheers for your thoughts.

Memory Leak

Yes the map is well known especially with Me262's flying around for degrading performance, I had reported it to 1C in 2007, but it fell on deaf ears.

The Gulf of Finland (500mb) map was the same years ago until the problem was fixed, but it seems the bugs go on these days unless DT are going to fix them (lets hope) we will be stuck with them.

Hmm

I ran a 30 mission Coop squad campaign on the v409m Kiev map.

There were 80 aircraft (piloted and AI) and over 40 moving columns plus static objects by the bucket load.

With 20+ pilots no one had problems with memory leaks or lagging.

I'm not saying there are not issues but is it a default installation or the Kiev maps with modded textures ?

Kiev < v409m
Kiev Autumn < Mods
Kiev Spring < Mods

Apparently, I have problems with fog in the morning, not in others situations, even with bad wether, like rain

And its not my machine, I am sure.

Depending on your system............

Fog can cause some stuttering/lag from the onset of launching the mission.

Memory leaks are associated with the mission/map becoming unflyable due to stuttering and eventually a CTD after a period of time (usually 20-30 mins) and not from the start of the mission/map launch.

My entire Storm Clouds 2.0 campaign is set on that map. I've never noticed a memory leak problem... and I spent a lot of development time on it. It is a heavier map as the density is quite low but the object count is actually quite high (there is a farm or something else every kilometer or so ).
