If I'm understanding you corretly it probalby has a lot to do with your monitor and settings. You just have to play with the sliders and see what you like.

Best? Best for high fps? best for good looking graphics?

You need to say what you want... best is very subjective.

Things we need to know...

CPU - Type, and the speed you run it at?
GPU - Type, and the speed you run it at?
Ram - How much, what speed?
HDD/SSD - Not as important, but can make a difference
Monitor Resolution - Are you running at the native, or less?

For all we know you have a liquid nitrogen cooled i7 overclocked to 8GHZ with 4 bleeding-edge video cards, and 1TB or Ram. . . or a P4 and a Geforce II.

I enabled FXAA in Nvidia and disabled in game AA. That's it. Everything else I played with to test, but put back to default with my set up.

Also, FYI: I couldnt get SLI going without tearing (tested with trip buff/vsync)

Just this. Enable FXAA through the control panel as it really helps with jaggies but do everything else through the video settings in game.

Is this setting still relevant after the final patch?
I've set Nvidia FXAA on and off and I don't notice any difference. Nor do I see any difference with the AA settings in the game. The distant aircraft are jagged enough that at certain ranges parts of them like wings just vanish. SweetFX helps a very small bit but not much. I'm using a GTX 670 with the latest driver.
