How to manipulate game into giving me Ancient Knowledge?

Hey guys...in AP i remember you could for example use a thorn sprout or dragonfly egg and you'd get a different wandering scroll.

Is there a way to manipulate the RNG to get it ? i keep getting Fortune's Smile x2 from Kitano no matter what
